Relationships of all sorts move towards the front burner this week. Saturday brings a New Moon in Libra, the energizing sun, friendly Moon, Venus, and verbal Mercury are already in Libra, and Mars joins them in Libra on Thursday.
Libra, the sign of the balancing scales, talks about justice, the law, questions of social justice, open warfare, and the relationship of all equals. We feel the Libra energy field anyplace two people, or two groups of people, look at each other square in the eye across the table and relate, whether romantic partnerships, great friends, worthy adversaries, business partnerships or helpful consultants. Libra calls us to balance those scales. Support a fair and equitable society everywhere. With this Libra lineup were all people are unusually sensitive to rough edges. Uncomfortably abraded by harsh words, unfairness or ugliness at home or in the streets.
This weekend’s New Moon in Libra is a good time to start a new cycle in our relationships of all kinds, so let’s think about what we’d like initiate. Start a new pattern of creative collaborations. Pour buckets of gratitude on all our friendships. Let’s look at romantic partners with fresh eyes and see them as they are now. If we feel lonely, let’s investigate how can we bring in new people while the door is open. But we need to be ready to meet people where they are, not where we want them to be.
On Friday a Virgo Moon asks us to finish up the week with a burst of efficiency. The weekend is sweet, romantic, not too realistic, and our energy levels may wobble from lazy to inspired. Use that new Moon in Libra on Saturday for good new beginnings. Use that New Moon for good new beginnings, but we have to meet people where they are, not what we want them to be. Even if our romantic vision can help us see the potential and get easily fed up with the reality.
Edginess returns on Monday as the Moon enters focused Scorpio and Venus squares Pluto. Watch for emotional manipulations. Most of us can just feel it as a moodiness or desire to have people make it safe for us rather than do our own emotional homework. Wednesday and Thursday can bring fresh honesty and an impatience to travel or enthusiasm to try something new. Let’s just keep an eye on safety in the process as the impatience can make people skip steps or forget safety procedures as the Moon enters exploratory Sagittarius but mobile Mercury challenges impatient Mars.
Throughout the rest of the week we could see hidden things come to light. Whether from the clean up after a storm or the revelations of a political whistleblower, strange things come into the light. Keep an eye out for sometimes uncomfortable surprises as Pluto, which has appeared retrograde since late April, turns direct on Thursday. Some less balanced people can get mighty sullen if there the balloon of their fantasy bubble bursts. Saturn turned direct last week and now conjunct the South node, a point of karma coming home to roost. These two planets are headed into a conjunction in Capricorn in early January 2020.
Pluto direct will simplify our work in the months ahead, but can bring up turbulence as it appears to turn. Most people won’t even feel it, but where there has been a misuse of power, or where people have been brooding on difficult situations, we can see a dénouement. Stay safe, stay empowered, and help direct the energy in a loving way.
Friday, September 27: The mood is busy if a bit neurotic. An industrious Virgo Moon opposes confusing Neptune, and we can procrastinate because we’re worried that we’re not going to do it right. Focus is easier after noon as the Moon trine’s Pluto. We can get caught up in a favorite daydream or worry as Venus quincunx Neptune, then have an abrupt splash of reality tonight as the Moon conjuncts Mars. If we start to get cranky, let’s go to bed and try again tomorrow.

Monday, September 30: it’s a dark and stormy morning, or at least it may feel like that on the inside as the Moon enters Scorpio and Venus squares Pluto. Some strong attachment may need to be released. An emotional undertow needs to be dealt with directly. Step carefully around obsessive people and watch where the imagination goes, as it could be easy to think catastrophically; instead, tap into what brings balance inside and out.

Tuesday, October 1: Emotions are still blustery; we love, we hate, there are only a few places where we feel neutral. Though we do have more imagination for creative and pragmatic solutions then yesterday. Appreciate connection, but honor boundaries completely. Throughout the afternoon and evening the moon makes no major aspects, we can spin our wheels so let’s choose our position carefully.

Wednesday, October 2: The mood is outspoken, impatient, and generally positive if slightly accident-prone, under the restless Sagittarius Moon and as verbal Mercury challenges feisty Mars. We have kinesthetic energy and panache we were paying attention, accidents come in when our attention is ahead or behind, and not where we are right now. Look for truth beginning to surface but be wary of partial truth used to hurt feelings. If we want to lash out, let’s check our motives.

Although the mood will be generally positive, focused and open, keep an eye open for strange dangers and a vindictive streak. Mysteries pique our curiosity, our focus sharpens. Afternoon is more upbeat than the morning as the Sagittarius Moon conjuncts expansive Jupiter. Mars enters Libra late tonight, and brings a sense that we can work together.
