Accountability is the name of the game this week. Saturn and Pluto, both in Capricorn, both recently turned direct after long retrogrades and as they did, they brought hidden plots and machinations, as well as new work and theories, out into the open. These planets now ask us to take stock of our responsibilities and hold people accountable to theirs as build momentum towards their conjunction in early January.
Our thoughts and our communiqués grew more specific, curious, even suspicious, with occasional doses of vitriol in the headlines, after Mercury entered Scorpio last week. Our feelings deepen this week, we may become less forgiving and put up with less crap, but can sort out what matters and connect at a deep level after Venus enters Scorpio on Tuesday. This Scorpio energy is not objective, it can bring out our brilliance but also exacerbate our personal and political biases. We’ll now tend to drill deep, but see things from a specific point of view rather than try to find what’s fair and beautiful unless we use that Scorpio curiosity for good and check our facts over and over again.
We all could use a chance to review our responsibilities and make sure we’re organized and on target as October progresses because Mercury will appear to slow down later in October, and turn retrograde on Halloween for three weeks. If we get organized now, we can use that time to follow up and complete our plans. If we aren’t organized, well, we’ll become even less so. Notice that Brexit is due to launch while Mercury stations, which is not auspicious for an easy process.
We can start to get organized this Friday and Saturday as a competent Capricorn Moon helps us get work done. On Sunday and Monday our mood becomes more sociable as the Aquarian Moon turns our thoughts to the collective, whether our spiritual community or how we see politics or social dynamics.
Early next week verbal Mercury opposes unsettling Uranus and can helps us shift gears to see things from a fresh perspective, but it could also bring some upsetting or conflicting information, whether it’s shocking news or outrageous commentary. Remember to check facts before getting excited about any new revelation. Let’s also watch our mental hamsters and keep the brain from going down unproductive rabbit holes. Schedule in extra time for last-minute snafus as tech equipment grows poltergeists, and pay attention during the morning commute.
It may be hard to build agreements or to get organized in this unsettled climate, but what we build now can be strong and sturdy. Those questions of responsibility and accountability are front and center next week and resonate throughout the headlines as the Sun square Saturn. While this is really challenging right now, it can help us both personally and politically break down insubstantial structures and build something sturdier.
Midweek, the mood turns more intimate and emotional as Venus joins Mercury in Scorpio on Tuesday. The Moon enters sensitive Pisces on Wednesday and Thursday and our emotions turn inward, we may grow more protective, more sensitized in the best and worst of ways. This Pisces mood instigate a tendency to lash out if we feel hurt or if our sensitivity feels abused, but also encourages us to connect.
Friday, October 4: On this good competent opinionated day it furthers to touch base with people of like mind and build some momentum under a pragmatic Capricorn Moon. Just watch the mental hamsters, and keep the brain from going down unproductive rabbit holes, because it can also bring anxiety about our personal security. Stay on target. Later on, we can feel like we’ve got too much on our plate as Mercury semi-squares Jupiter, or say too much or agreed to too much. Consider saying,” I’ll think about it” rather than “yes”. If conflicting information arrives, let the dust settles before acting. Tonight, our brains can have trouble getting off that busy mental hamster wheel, enjoy a good movie or dip into creative process to calm the spinning brain.

This may not be as relaxed a weekend as we’d hoped, it’s good day for household chores and winterizing. People can make off the wall comments, the twitter-verse quivers, but check and see if they mean it tomorrow. Thursday, October 10: It’d be good to talk about our active feelings, but they may swirl below the verbal level as the Pisces Moon conjuncts Neptune. Treasure one another’s sensitivity rather than take advantage of it.
