Look for a burst of honesty this Friday as the Moon conjuncts talkative Mercury in outspoken Sagittarius. A helpful and warmhearted trine between Venus and Mars in talkative air signs helps us speak up with one another, open lines of communication, and make plans for the future. Just watch for a tendency to get complacent in those opinions. Like a hopeful election results, good news and good plans need to be cultivated in the future.
But we don’t have to just talk about it, over the weekend a wonderfully competent Capricorn Moon encourages us to follow through and do the work. Sunday and Monday feel the call back to work, both the desire and the competence to pick up our work where we left off a few weeks ago as the Sun sextiles Pluto. Some people may wrestle with the grim mood, most of us can feel satisfaction as we make progress.
Midweek is more sociable if less focused, but good for team meetings and coordinating plans for the coming holidays. The Aquarius Moon encourages us to think cooperatively, but our opinions may still be entrenched. Wait until the coming weekend to try and change someone’s opinion. We may need to step away from national and interpersonal politics for a bit and come back to our own emotional processes towards the end of the week as the Moon and Mars enters sensitive Pisces on Thursday.
Mercury retrogrades November 18 December 7, so let’s work that into our holiday preparations and do the prep work now. Buy tickets and send out invitations, but keep plans flexible to manage unexpected events. We may already notice a whiff of confusion and uncertainty, the occasionally vague and fuzzy thinking as mental Mercury moves into a square with intuitive, confusing Neptune at the end of the week. This square can activate our imagination on a good day, but also challenges us to not to get lost in our favorite delusions, grow passive, confused, or potentially think that we have the magical right answer. People who feel like they have been juggling too many disparate pieces may begin to drop a few threads along the way. Let’s choose those things which are most important to follow through upon, and keep our eye on them through the next few weeks.
This confusing Mercury square Neptune, with Mercury slowing down to go retrograde, can really muck up any election recounts and obfuscate who actually did what and when. It will be important, in all fuzzyheaded conundrums we may find ourselves, to step out of opinion as much as possible and look for concrete ways to recount and reassess openly, with many eyes watching. Get some objectivity. If we are starting a new job or taking on a new project during this foggy time, it is important to make no assumptions and double check to make sure were on the right page, clarify instructions and information. Our creative Muse and spiritual practice may buzz though; it’s a wonderful time to write fiction, just don’t unknowingly live it.
Friday, November 9: The mood is clear, sociable, easily distracted, wide-ranging, but with one sleepy spell midafternoon. Look for interesting conversation about old relationships and a chance to share interests and build resiliency in an ongoing relationship. Hear the other side of the story. We need to talk and weave connection as Venus and Mars trine and air signs under an adventurous Sagittarius Moon.
Moon conjunct Mercury 6:36 AM, Venus trine Mars 8:11 AM, Moon square Neptune 1:41 PM.
Saturday, November 10: It’s a good day for day trips, first dates, good conversation with those we bump into as the Moon sextiles Venus and Mars. We need a break in recent tension, but may suddenly see a whole new list of things to do. Honor and the need to do things a little differently. If grumpiness or control issues seep back in as the evening progresses, rest now, talk later.
Moon sextile Venus 12:54 PM, Moon sex tiles Mars 2:59 PM, Moon square Chiron 5:30 PM, Moon trine Uranus 8:34 PM, Moon enters Capricorn 8:54 PM.
Sunday, November 11: Don’t take that grimness personally, many people are in a mood. But we can make that mood productive if we ask great existential questions and then apply the answers. Get down to brass tacks and tackle something important. Look for intense questions about chain of authority, who’s in control, and what’s going to happen next, questions that could really affect the results of recent elections as the Capricorn Moon conjuncts Saturn and heads towards Pluto as the Sun sextiles Pluto.
Sun sextile Pluto 8:21 AM, Moon conjunct Saturn 8:24 AM.
Monday, November 12: This morning we may need to come to terms with consequences and deadlines. Memories sit with us. It’s easier to see what is urgent and what is wrong then what is right and what is possible as the Moon conjunct Pluto this morning, but by afternoon the energy can shift into more of want to do, what’s the next one concrete step, and that can break a logjam and shifts our focus.
Moon sextile Neptune 12:01 AM, Moon conjunct Pluto 10:57 AM, Moon sextile Sun 1:21 PM, Moon trine Venus 11:32 PM.
Tuesday, November 13: it is important this morning that we take a good inventory of the situation this morning, reassess the schedule, see what changes need to be made based on recent shifts, and follow through on what we’ve begun. Check to make sure everyone is on the same page. After a spate of morning efficiency and adjustments which will save time later on, the energy level drops and people need time to catch up as the Moon enters Aquarius and sextiles Jupiter. This afternoon it is helpful to create new teams or work on group process for collective communication.
Moon sextile Chiron 5:06 AM, Moon square Uranus 8:13 AM, Moon enters Aquarius 8:45 AM, Moon sextile Jupiter 11:05 AM.
Wednesday, November 14: The mood may be pleasantly stubborn, people feel set in their ways and entrenched in their opinion, though they can talk a good game. Confusion is beginning to seep in, which is great for imagination, but people will tend to cling to their favorite delusions and not thank us for trying to wake them up. Brainstorm future possibilities together, but let’s be very clear in our own mind where things stand now.
Moon sextile Mercury 11:24 AM.
Thursday, November 15: Feelings are tender, prickly, guarded and squishy all at the same time. We need to walk carefully with Neptune today as Mars enters Pisces and sextiles Uranus while Mercury squares Neptune. Speak up for the dispossessed, for the vulnerable people. Take care of one’s own vulnerability. Put action into the gift of the creative Muse; act on a vision. Just be kind to one another in the process; we are activated yet sensitive, stirred up and raw.
Mars sextile Uranus 2:30 AM, Moon square Sun 7:54 AM, Moon square Venus 12:05 PM, Mars enters Pisces 3:20 PM, Moon sextile Uranus 8:58 PM, Moon enters Pisces 9:41 PM, Moon conjuncts Mars 10:02 PM.
All times are MST.
