I recently started learning about crystals, their healing energies, their magic and how to properly use them. As if the universe knew I needed to go deeper, it made me find The Crystal Alchemist: A Comprehensive Guide to Unlocking the Transformative Power of Gems and Stones, by Karen Frazier.
Truth be told, I was a bit skeptical. What would make this book unique? Would it be another encyclopedia about gems and stones, their properties and healing energies? Yet, the description of the book made me think there was hope. An so there was. I found nothing but new information, new practices, and approaches about crystal healing.
Crystal Healing Energy
This book prepares the reader to the kind of energy offered by crystals, I won’t deny it, but instead of giving detailed descriptions of each of them, like a hundred books already do in the market, The Crystal Alchemist explains how to identify which to use, how and when, even how to combine them.
Karen Frazier writes in a way that is easy to understand and offers enough guidance through her own experiences, although there came a point when I didn’t read them since she follows a format at times. This made it easier for me to find which parts I was interested in reading, although her anecdotes made me smile more than once and added a bit of charisma to the whole book.
What I liked the most about this book is that you don’t need to have previous knowledge of stones and gems. The Crystal Alchemist also includes information on how to create crystal grids, elixirs, where to locate them, how to meditate with them, combine them, and even wear them.
I had several doubts and misconceptions about crystals before reading this book, but Karen Frazier explained each of them, like how safely clean and use them, always keeping a friendly tone that made me devour this book in a couple of days. I had to stop not because I wanted, just in case.
After reading and taking some notes, I feel more confident when working with crystals and have a better understanding on how to use them. I use energy healing and healing magic on a daily basis, and can tell the difference before and after getting a copy of The Crystal Alchemist.
Some may argue that the lack of details could be a flaw, but I look at it the other way around, making it a great introduction to the subject. I will keep an eye on the next books by Karen Frazier just because of this one. She has certainly written a book I will use as a reference several times in the future.
Regardless of your spiritual background and what you will use this knowledge for, you expect to find an ally in this book. Being so easy to understand, with a simple style, funny at times, The Crystal Alchemist: A Comprehensive Guide to Unlocking the Transformative Power of Gems and Stones, by Karen Frazier, is one of those books you will want to keep near to you at times.
