Most of us will have a perfectly ok, ordinary week, with sleepy moments and interesting opportunities to communicate our ideas. But there is also a window open for great change or extraordinary circumstances which call people to rise to their best.
We get a real mixed bag of astrological instructions as seven planets form one major T-square in changeable and nervy mutable signs. Mars, the Sun, Mercury, and Venus are all lined up in Virgo, opposed intuitive, watery Neptune, and square Jupiter. That Virgo lineup also trines Saturn, south node and Pluto in Capricorn. Uranus still forms a separating trine to Mars. With all the planets involved in this dance, predicting the outcome is a lot like predicting the landfall of a hurricane; with so many variables in play, we need to both understand the components and keep an eye on which way the winds blow.
And blow it will. In the big picture, Mercury conjunct the Sun and Mars can speed the winds, the opposition to Neptune increases the chance for confusion, floods and water mishaps. The Neptune pattern also loans us the intuition to know what to do, if we to tap into it, and Mars offers the energy and bravery to do whatever needs to be done. People can show their absolute best while helping one another through emergencies.
We do have a little more room to maneuver this week than last. Last week just about every planet aspected Mars, which energized, but added punch and urgency to disasters and increased accidents if we rushed about, distracted by some strong enthusiasm or emotion.
Now that lineup in Virgo can bring out our inner worrywart, we can dither over fears and insist on analyzing our relationships as a form of intimacy. We may need to say something important, but that doesn’t mean others are able to hear it right now– it’s all too easy to hear any suggestion as a criticism, so check in with them first. With Mercury-Neptune opposition it can be hard to figure out truth from fantasy, let’s tap into our imagination but check assumptions at the door. Whenever working with Neptunian uncertainty, the trick is to remember the goal, then take one step at a time, and keep checking the conditions, like walking through a swamp. No need to stop, just only move as fast as clear sight allows.
As the weekend begins, a beautiful moon-Jupiter conjunction in Sagittarius brings our attention to the natural world in all its beauties and troubles. Over the weekend a Capricorn Moon instills competence if also the potential for manipulation. Mars trine Saturn in Earth signs and helps us work together for a cause.
Early next week, on Monday through Wednesday, environmental conditions can be challenging but, with a bit of effort, we can together gracefully to handle those challenges. If we work alone, we need to take extra care to not dither and forget what we we’re doing, instead stay organized and on track even as the Sun opposes Neptune.
The week ends with both a muscular feistiness and potential acts of heroism or the rattling of sabers as Mars squares Jupiter. We get contrary if feeling guilty or overwhelmed. Small and large changes to either our surrounds or our perceptions, occur this week, so take this coming full Moon to assess those changes and let the feelings flow into new forms.
Friday, September 6: There is much to say, maybe too much. Tap into generosity, be ready to multitask and juggle, take notes so as not to lose the place as Mercury squares Jupiter and Sun trine Saturn. Sanity and adulting are paramount, but don’t waste time judging the mature. We may be painfully aware of what we have because we see loss, or have had to let go of something important ourselves, but, instead of moping, we can let this kick into gratitude and action. If called upon, work together with others for an important cause and take the opportunity to bond together while doing so. Tonight, get out and dance under the Sagittarius moon, but prioritize safety around alcohol, flooding, or distraction and Venus trines Pluto.
Mercury square Jupiter 1:11 AM, Moon conjunct Jupiter 1:19 AM, Moon square Mercury 1:21 AM, Moon square Neptune 4:52 AM, Moon square Venus 10:03 AM, Sun trine Saturn 3:55 PM, Venus trine Pluto 9:45 PM.
Saturday, September 7: it’s a good morning to sleep in late or drift by a stream as Mercury opposes Neptune. Everything else may feel a little complicated or confusing, communications delayed or act at cross purposes even though the Moon enters industrious Capricorn and asked us to get to work. Clarify what people mean, ascertain what they heard. Make a list, check it twice, or details fall through the cracks. Good changes call us tonight as the Moon trines Uranus.
Mercury opposed Neptune 1:18 AM, Moon enters Capricorn 4:37 AM, Moon trine Uranus 4:47 PM.
Sunday, September 8: We may get a difficult wake-up call or become aware of a problem, and find it hard to look on the sunny side. Our moods can get sullen or determined, but we will feel better when we’ve accomplished something. Important decisions need to be made. Problems are solved when wisdom and effort combine, differing age groups can learn from one another with Mars trine Saturn. Search for something under the surface, excavation digging mining the back of the closet. Look for a deeper answer, the superficial ones just won’t cut it as the Moon in Capricorn conjuncts Saturn and Pluto, and Mercury trines Pluto.
Moon trine Mars 6:52 AM, Moon conjunct Saturn 7:42 AM, Sun square Jupiter 9:26 AM, Moon square trine Sun 11:11 AM, Moon trine Mercury 9:02 PM, Moon conjunct Pluto 9:03 PM, Mercury trine Pluto 9:08 PM, Mars trine Saturn 10:13 PM.
Monday, September 9: We can see the big picture but may miss the needs of those closest to us under an Aquarian moon. Competitive energy tugs underneath, it’s not that they don’t want us to win, they just won’t lose. Watch a tendency to over-commit, think through carefully what’s really needed and where and make it make a real insistent substantial contribution with healthy boundaries.
Moon trine Venus 2:30 AM, Moon enter Aquarius 3:23 PM.
Tuesday, September 10: Imagination, compassion, confusion; people may try to help but need to ask the people involved what they actually need, not what we think they need. Evening lightens up as the Moon sextiles Jupiter.
Sun opposed Neptune 1:23 AM, Moon square Uranus 3:57 AM, Moon sextile Jupiter 11:22 PM.
Wednesday, September 11: Let strong feelings and old memories wash through, nurture connections and community. When we try to get practical, we may find it hard to get in gear as the Moon makes no major aspects. Work for slow and steady improvement. Assess and understand; study when nothing else moves.
Moon makes only minor aspects
Thursday, September 12: Emotions swell up like floodwater as the almost full Moon enters sensitive Pisces. We can have a very strong emotional response to guilt tripping, or to a real cause for empathy, and want to leap into action as Mars squares Jupiter. Well directed this gives us the energy to do what needs to be done, no matter what we’re feeling (and we may feel a lot), and can help inspire amazing feats. In a bad twist, some lash out in anger or engage injudicious belligerence.
Mars square Jupiter 3:05 AM, Moon enters Pisces 3:51 AM, Moon sextiles Uranus 4:26 PM.
All times are MDT.
