It’s a tricky week astrologically, let’s turn up the volume on our situational awareness. Whether placing a coffee cup close to our keyboard, driving, or navigating a delicate conversation, we need to stay aware of what’s around us and who we’re dealing with as the Sun, retrograde Mercury, and Neptune all dance together in sensitive Pisces. Otherwise the situation can get messy.
With this Pisces lineup we may feel the need for more sleep all week long. We can feel super squishy as the Moon wanes towards the new Moon in Pisces on Sunday, in this emotional openness can make it a wonderful time for spiritual retreat, creative process or holding the hand of our beloved on a beautiful beach.
But maybe will have no such luck as to take time off and sit on a beach. Underneath the drifting, sensitive energy our feelings can be supercharged, we have to be careful not to daydream while driving this sports car. Mars, now in determined Capricorn, and Venus in fierce Aries turn up emotional heat and ambition. Even if we don’t feel driven to accomplish, we’ll deal with pushy people who remind us that we cannot drop our guard, we need to not add heat to the fire, but stay on target and stand up for what we believe, at home and in politics, in this raw and strategic year as Saturn pulls away from Pluto in Capricorn.
We can feel things strongly, urgently, but not clearly. Our emotional reactions trigger faster than our logic; we can react intensely without checking our facts. So, let’s verify information before reposting and make sure we really understand what another person means to say before we erupt.
We can so easily misunderstand one another or get lost in our memories of the past under these mentally foggy conditions, project our discomfort onto the future and get anxious. But we need to be right here and right now.
The week ends under a political and interpersonal Aquarius Moon, we see the bigger picture and can feel what needs to be done with an action-oriented, decisive Mars-Uranus trine. But we can just as decisively run into a wall or demand the day off as solve a problem; we supply the direction. The sociability continues Saturday morning, then the Moon enters Pisces, heading for Sunday’s new Moon in Pisces. Emotions well up, bubble, and pouring forth. People tend to cry in their beer. But we can use this this emotional flow to clear out the clutter of our lives
As the weekend begins on Friday a sociable, political, Aquarius Moon helps us take things less personally as a decisive Mars Uranus trine urges us to take action, though we have to supply the direction. Saturday starts off sociable, and then we sensitize as the Moon heads into Pisces. Our emotions can well up and pour forth and some will just need to cry their beer.
A new Moon on in Pisces on Sunday can leave us in a puddle or help us release some old clogged emotions and begin a new cycle. On Tuesday, the Moon kicks into pushy Aries as Mercury sextiles Mars, and people debate anything. Practice situational awareness and stay safe and centered.
Friday, February 21: A dynamic Mars trine Uranus early in the morning can light a fire under us, o but we have to add direction and finesse. Or it can bring out a self-indulgent streak. Choose actions carefully and speak up. Look for some challenging lesson around the use of willpower midday; think assertive not aggressive, and then work on teambuilding and sociability, relax with friends and enjoy sparks of fresh conversation when efficiency winds down and it becomes clear that nothing else can get done for the rest of the day.
Mars trine Uranus 2:09 AM, Mars square Chiron 6:16 AM, Moon sextile Venus 9:08 PM.
Saturday, February 22: Change the pace this morning as the Sun sextiles Uranus. Go someplace new, move furniture, consider possibilities, meander, work on a personal project, just avoid long-term decisions as the Moon makes no major aspects. Feelings may grow more sensitive as the day goes on until the Moon enters Pisces tonight. Extra emotions just want to spill out our eyes
Venus the sextile Uranus 7:12 AM, Moon enters Pisces 11:37 PM.
Sunday, February 23: It’s a perfect day to puddle about; we’ll feel like a puddle in any case on this new Moon in Pisces, but we can choose where we puddle. Whether to wallow in our fears and feelings or sit with memories and our creative muse, meditate, or create a vision board; let’s remember we can choose how to direct the feelings. Take a moment to consciously review and release some dangling emotional situation and choose what to put next in this compost. Do not poke people or guilt trip them for whatever emotional process they need today, Pisces sensitivity can turn to rage when the hand is overplayed.
Moon sextile Uranus 6:28 AM, Moon conjunct the Sun 8:31 AM, Moon sextile Mars 9:29 AM, Venus squares Jupiter 9:58 AM, Moon conjunct Mercury 5:39 PM.
Monday, February 24: People may feel guarded because they are still in a dreamy, sensitize, permeable place though with potentially more energy as the Sun sextiles active Mars. Don’t expect efficiency, and watch for major gaps in logic; instead, find a good use for sensitivity, imagination, perception. Study the feasibility of those new ideas or solutions, keep dreaming, just don’t push too while the Moon is still in Pisces.
Moon conjunct Neptune 11:25 AM, Moon sextile Jupiter 12:45 AM, Sun sextile Mars 7:05 PM, Moon sextile Pluto 11:57 PM.
Tuesday, February 25: After a slow-starting morning, the coffee kicks in midday as the Moon enters Aries, and thoughtful Mercury sextile active Mars, loans us bravery and willpower. Roll with the new energy and pay attention. Set clean and clear boundaries where needed rather than pull out the bazookas. Avoid saying injudicious things if frustration flares. Sparks fly quickly, people hate being told what to do, and will tend to easily misinterpret an impatient comment as criticism or nosiness.
Moon sextile Saturn 7:11 AM, Moon enters Aries 11:47 AM, Sun conjunct Mercury 6:44 PM Mercury sextile Mars 11:58 PM.
Wednesday, February 26: Morning is potentially irritable that Aries Moon squares Mars. Then we may want to be super-person under the Aries Moon, but have the energy level of a sleepy Clark Kent as the Pisces line-up sings us lullabies. It may help to pace ourselves in fits and burst with moments of deep rest as and approaches Venus in Aries.
Moon square Mars 1:32 AM.
Thursday, February 27: Our hearts warm up as the Aries Moon conjuncts Venus this morning, then squares Pluto and Saturn. If we feel buffeted by strong feelings about events that happened in the past, let’s deal with them, finish business, rather than use them to star new fires in response. Whether our hearts fill up with enthusiasm, compassion, action, rebellion jealousy, or just a snit, is up to us. Use that heart flame wisely.
Moon square Jupiter 2:21 AM, Moon conjunct Venus 10:05 AM, Moon square Pluto 12:46 PM, Moon square Saturn 8:24 PM.
